Tap Tap Revenge 3 is a seemingly pretty in depth portable version of Guitar Hero. It does make you create a username and pick an avatar in order to play the game. Each username is global and the iPhone application will check to make sure that the username is available. If not, you’re required to create a new one. A valid email address will also be needed to play the game which gives you a certain amount of in-game money for doing so. You can also link your Facebook account to Tap Tap Revenge 3 app for iPhone to post notifications and get more in-game money.
Tap Tap Revenge 3 is a pretty advanced iPod touch application for being completely free. A short tutorial walks you through the basics of the game. There are three places to tap when balls come rolling down different shoots, much like the buttons in Guitar Hero. There are also balls that will have a tail on them that will require you to hold the tap down to gain more points. Lastly, arrows pointing up and to the left and right are also incorporated that indicate that you should shake the Iphone or Ipod Touch in the direction indicated as if you were drumming in that direction.
As your progress through the iPod touch game more songs and avatar items are opened up. Your level will increase also opening many new options that are incorporated in the game such as weapons. Tap Tap Revenge 3 free ipod touch game allows for two player games and also a chat feature that can be used with other users. It takes a little getting used to in order to tap the balls as they roll by the tap area correctly. I found many times that I felt I was tapping, but the screen kept telling me that I was missing. Otherwise, with practice, I’m sure it’ll get that much better. There are a fair amount of ads sprinkled throughout the application… not surprisingly as it is the top rated free game (as of this writing) in itunes.
